Last time we had been talking about the fruits and vegetables that can usually be found in my kitchen. Today, let’s talk about dairy and coconut products. I will not describe the benefits of all of them as it can be found anywhere, however I would like to show you how I use them. Just keep in mind that it is my standard shopping list, of course, sometimes I buy additional items as well, it depends on my needs. I am curious if my shopping list is similar to yours. Leave your must-haves in the comments. Also check out my previous post about Fruits & Vegetables.

What kind of dairy and coconut products are on my healthy keto shopping list?
In this blog post we will talk only about dairy and coconut products. In the previous and following posts you can learn more about the rest of my items. Each part of the list will include my own recipes with the selected items. I hope it will help you a lot!
Dairy
My dairy list is not huge. I don’t drink milk, unless it is coconut milk. I don’t eat so many cheeses either.
White Cheese
White cheese or cottage cheese is my love. They have been a base for my diet for years. They are low in lactose which is sugar and they are a good source of vitamins and calcium.
How to eat white cheese?
I usually cut it into cubes and serve as a side dish to so many meals.
Cream cheese
Cream cheese is low in lactose. It is fermented milk so it includes good bacteria which eat lactose (sugar). People who are lactose intolerant will benefit from it as they can digest food properly.
How to eat cream cheese?
I usually eat it in pieces with my dishes. But I also use it for my baking goods.
Eggs
Eggs are a main product in my kitchen. They are a source of protein, vitamin and fat. Don’t worry, you can eat many eggs, they will not increase your cholesterol as an old study says in the past.
How to eat eggs?
I add them to most of the meals, I make scrambled, fried and boiled eggs. They are super easy to prepare and you can make so many variations out of them.
Coconut Products
Since I moved to the Philippines, coconut products are a base of my diet. I believe the coconut tree is a life tree which can provide us with all the necessary products to live. I am in love with all coconut items.
Coconut Milk
Coconut milk is a good source of healthy fat.
How to eat coconut milk?
I add coconut milk to soups, currys, spreads, dips, mix with vegetables and sweets.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a great healthy fat.
How to eat coconut oil?
I fry with coconut oil, I use coconut oil for my baking goods, I add it to soups and so on. I don’t think there is a dish where I don’t use coconut oil.
Coconut Meat
Again, it is a good source of healthy fat.
How to eat coconut meat?
Since we buy fresh coconuts, we keep the meat as a snack, sometimes I add it to my baking goods. I also use it as coconut flakes for my baking goods.
Coconut Juice
Will I surprise you if I say that it is a good source of healthy fat?
How to eat coconut juice?
We drink coconut juice really often as we get fresh coconuts from local market.
Coconut Flour
It is the only flour that I use. It is high in fibre, protein and healthy fat. It is free from wheat and other grains.
How to eat coconut flour?
It is great for sweets, but I also use it for baking bread or fritters. Meals prepared based on coconut flour never taste too much of coconut in my opinion, so I love to add it to literally everything.
Coco Syrup
It is magic! Coco syrup is always in my kitchen just in case I have a craving for something sweet. It is made from coconut sap and it is totally natural. It doesn’t have any fat, and it is low in glycemic carbs.
How to eat coco syrup?
I add them to smoothies and all my sweet goods.
Coconut Sugar
I don’t use sugar but I have coconut sugar in case of emergency. I am not a big fan of sweeteners as I prefer natural products, so coco sugar is my help when I have guests or a cheat meal.
How to eat coconut sugar?
I add them to the smoothies and sweet goods.
What is on your healthy keto dairy and coconut products shopping list?
That’s pretty much my shopping list if we are talking about dairy and coconut products. I can honestly say it is exactly what we buy every time we go to the store if we are talking about this specific category of products. I have been asked so many times what I usually buy and I hope this list will help you with the introduction to a healthy keto diet. Share your list in the comment section!
