For the long May weekend we have decided to spend our time in Siargao, Philippines. The most beautiful place that I have ever seen. Paradise in my eyes. Let me take you for a journey around this island to show you what you can do in Siargao.
The island is not too touristy yet however it is developing. It is a spot for surfers but it will work out great for a group of friends or family.
Primitivo Art Village is a great place to stay if you want to feel at home. Check out my previous post Hostel Recommendation While Travelling to Siargao Island – Primitivo Art Village for more information.
Check with your hostel where you can book your space for island hopping. At Primitivo Art Village we paid PHP800 per person including lunch. You can also rent your own boat for PHP1500 – PHP2000 and decide where you want to go.
The little island with white sand and crystal water.
The biggest island with boats around, beach cottages and amazing palm trees.
If you are lucky enough, during low season, you will be able to see this little island under the water.
That was our last destination. Not a big fan of this island, but worth a see.
Take a tricycle or motorbike for 5 a minute drive to chill at Could 9. It is a surfing spot but also an amazing place for families and groups of friends.
Pay PHP70 per person to get a guide and explore the cave which was discovered in 2017.
On the way between Tagayngban Cave Pool and Magpupungko Tidal Rock Pool there is little floating village. It looks incredibly nice.
Around a 1 hour drive by motorbike from General Luna, you can enjoy an amazing rock pool by paying PHP50.
While waiting for a ferry from Surigao City to Cebu, try to catch the whirlpools. Ask locals to rent a boat, negotiate a price to max PHP1600 and try to find the whirlpools.
