Last time, we were talking about the condiments that can usually be found in my kitchen. Today, let’s talk about drinks and supplements, which will be the last post from my shopping list. In this blog post we will talk only about drinks and supplements. In the previous posts you can learn more about the rest of my items. Each item on the list will include my own recipes with the selected items. I hope it will help you a lot!
I do not drink soda. From time to time I will drink Coca Cola Zero just for my pleasure and happiness.
Black coffee is a good source of minerals, it has high anti-oxidant properties. It helps to clean your stomach (makes your stomach acidic).
I usually take between 2 – 4 cups of coffee per day. I add a pinch of Himalayan salt and 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar. It becomes a source of potassium because of the cream of tartar, and a source of minerals because of the salt. It helps to maintain the balance of electrolytes in my body.
Green tea is full of vitamins and it speeds up your metabolism.
I usually drink tea when I am relaxing. I just need to be careful to not drink it too much as I cannot sleep later on.
Well, I don’t think I need to say anything about this point.
I drink 2 litres of water with lime juice, 2 teaspoons of apple cider, pinch of pink Himalayas salt and cream of tartar. It helps with digestion, it is a source of potassium because of the cream of tartar, a source of minerals because of the salt and helps to maintain the balance of electrolytes in my body. It is also a source of vitamins because of the lime juice. It provides energy for the whole day.
There are a couple of supplements which I use to make sure that my body has everything that it needs.
Fish oil to balance the Omega-3 and Omega-6. 2 tablets per day.
Multi Vitamins to provide all the necessary vitamins and minerals. 2 tablets per day.
It includes protein which comes from the bone broth of chicken, fish and beef. It gives 5 types of collagen which helps to repair skin, nails and hair. It is highly recommended while losing weight as it repairs your skin and makes it more tight. I just mix it with whey.
Whey is a quality protein source for muscle building as I am into bodybuilding. 1 shake per day as the last meal. I also use whey for my baking goods.
BCAA is branched-chain amino acid – an essential protein for muscle building in our body. 1 drink per day. I usually buy cherry flavour which is my favourite one. Sometimes I make a green shake with this flavour of BCAA. I love it!
That’s pretty much my shopping list with drinks and supplements and I can honestly say it is exactly what we buy every time we go to the store, if we are talking about drinks and supplements. I have been asked so many times what I usually buy and I hope this list will help you with an introduction to a healthy keto diet. Share your list in the comment section!
