Morning coffee? I know how much we love it. However before you grab your favourite cup with hot and delicious coffee, think about this article for a moment. Start your day with water, ideally water with lemon. If you are a person like me, who hates drinking water, let me introduce you to a few tricks which helps me to develop this habit.

Benefits of lemon water in the morning?
The studies claim that simply, water with lemon juice has many health benefits while drinking first thing in the morning. Let’s quickly go through them:
- Lemon is a source of Vitamin C which reduces risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, it lowers blood pressure, it boots immune system function, wound healing, and helping the body absorb iron from foods
- They are the studies which shows it helps treats kidney stones
- It helps to move your digestive system in the morning, so we can digest food more easily. It also helps to prevent toxins from building up
- The last one but not the least one, drinking water, just a water helps with hydration, make us feel full, optimise our mood and memory and helps with our performance as overall

Lemon water recipe and how to start drinking water in the morning?
There are many ways to make lemon water and to start drinking water. I joined these two topics since they are related to each other. In order to make yourself drink more water, you need to find a way to make it tasteful for yourself. I love it with warm or hot water. I really don’t like cold water. I simply just squeeze fresh lemon into the jar of warm water. Ahh the jar needs to be from the glass, trust me it tastes much better. Feel free to add mint or cinnamon, whatever tastes better for you. Experiment and don’t give up!
P.S. That is another lemon water recipe which I do every time I am on ketogenic diet. It can sound horrible but it is actually not that bad, try it out!
I also like to prepare big jar of the water with lemon so I can take it whenever my little jar is empty 🙂

Just try it out. Always, try out before disregarding. It doesn’t mean it needs to work for you, maybe it will not. But everything that potentially can help your health is worth trying.
