Keto Low Carb Paleo Homemade Bread

3 MIN READ

Living in Philippines means no “real” bread. Being on keto diet means no bread at all? Well, that’s what I thought till I found this great recipe for low carbs bread and full of healthy fat. After missing bread so much, I decided to give a try my keto low carb paleo homemade bread. Surprisingly it came up much better than I expected.

How to make keto low carb paleo homemade bread?

Preparation time: around 1 hour

Servings: 1 loaf

Ingredients

  • 165g of coconut flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda or 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 250g of olive oil
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • olives, garlic (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and prepare a loaf pan with baking paper (I managed to make the bread in small “oven” which is kind of toaster thing)
  2. Add coconut flour, baking soda and salt to a big bowl and stir
  3. Lightly beat eggs and add to mixture
  4. Add olive oil, olives, garlic and stir
  5. Transfer mixture to loaf pan, you can add sesame seeds on the top
  6. Bake for around 45minutes or longer in temperature between 350°F (175°C) and 375°F (190°C) (check if your bread is ready by sticking knife inside, when it comes out clean – it is ready)
  7. Remove from the pan and cool down
  8. Enjoy!

Notes

Be creative! Add your favourites fruits or seeds to your bread. Small slice will make you full! 🙂

“I did not include the olives or garlic. The bread tastes too strong of olive oil (I used extra virgin). Maybe I'll try a light olive oil or a more tasteless oil. The bread seems crumbly and a bit dry. However, IT'S BREAD ON KETO! YAY! I can't taste any coconut per se, but there is a bit of sweetness or something to the bread. Very subtle. Maybe that's the coconut? That flour sure smelled good.” - by smimic7 on Reddit/Imgurmore
