Healthy Keto Low Carb Sugar Free Cinnamon Rolls For Dessert

Cinnamon rolls were something that I have missed lately. I love cinnamon so much, I can drink coffee with cinnamon, eat apple pie with cinnamon, I could add cinnamon to all desserts and drinks. Following a healthy diet and lately a more keto oriented diet, I decided to find a healthier version of my favourite cinnamon rolls. Healthy, keto, low carb and sugar free cinnamon rolls!

How to make healthy keto low carb sugar free cinnamon rolls for dessert?

Preparation and cooking time: around 30 minutes

Servings: 12 small cinnamon rolls which are really filling

Ingredients

Keto Low Carbs Cinnamon Base

  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 3/4 cup of coconut flour
  • 2/3 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup of coconut sugar or sweetener for keto / no sugar diet
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Keto Low Carbs Cinnamon Sugar

  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoons of boiled water
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut sugar or sweetener for keto / no sugar diet
  • 1 tablespoons of coco syrup (optional)

Keto Low Carbs Cinnamon Creamy Frosting

  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar or sweetener for keto / no sugar diet
  • 1 tablespoon of coco syrup (optional)

Instructions

Keto Low Carbs Cinnamon Base

  1. Mix mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in bowl and microwave for 30 seconds, stir and microwave for another 30 seconds until the ingredients are combined together.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined together, I used my hands covered in coconut oil to mix all the ingredients properly.
  3. Line baking paper on the table, sprinkle a little bit of coconut flour over the paper and roll out the base into a rectangle, make it as thin as possible, I used my hands

Keto Low Carbs Cinnamon Sugar and Baking

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix all the ingredients for cinnamon sugar until they combine together.
  3. Spread cinnamon sugar over cinnamon base.
  4. Start rolling base from one side into one long roll, I helped myself with baking paper.
  5. Cut the big roll into 12 small rolls.
  6. Place rolls on the pan, ideally covered with baking paper and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Meantime prepare frosting.

Keto Low Carbs Cinnamon Creamy Frosting

  1. Mix all ingredients for frosting until smooth.
  2. When rolls are baked, spread over warm rolls and serve.
  3. Enjoy!

Notes

Rolls are really filling, so no worries if they are small.

Feel free to add some nuts on the top.

Rolls can stay in the fridge for 2-3 days.

For more keto oriented recipe, skip coconut sugar and replace it with sweetener.
